John LaMonaca joined Ropes & Gray’s corporate department in 2021 and is a member of the private capital transactions group. John graduated magna cum laude from the American University Washington College of Law, where he was a member of the American University Law Review and competed for the Moot Court Honor Society. In 2019 he interned for the Honorable Paul W. Grimm in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Prior to and during law school, John served as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force and USAF Reserves, reaching the rank of Major. John earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in 2009.
