Sydney B. Leavens
Sydney Leavens joined Ropes & Gray in 2014 and is counsel in the tax & benefits department. She advises investors and private fund managers on the formation and operation of private equity and hedge funds, and also advises clients on the federal income tax aspects of transactional matters such as acquisitions, mergers, restructurings, and the formation of joint ventures.
Prior to joining the firm, Sydney practiced as an associate in the Boston office of another international law firm. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jeffrey R. Howard of the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable Joseph A. DiClerico, Jr. of the District of New Hampshire.
