Deborah (Debbie) McElwaine

Debbie McElwaine is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s asset management group. Debbie represents private fund sponsors and institutional investors across a variety of matters, including fund formation, primary, secondary, and co-investments. She also represents registered funds in compliance and operational matters.

During law school, Debbie was a judicial intern for the Honorable Nathaniel Gorton of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, as well as executive editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and a representative for the Women’s Law Coalition.
