Annie Monjar is an associate in the litigation and enforcement practice group. Her practice includes civil and criminal government enforcement matters, internal investigations, and civil litigation. Annie works with a range of clients, including global pharmaceutical and medical device companies, hospital systems, and private equity and investment firms. She has experience advising both individual and corporate clients in enforcement proceedings involving the False Claims Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Sherman Act. Annie also maintains an active pro bono practice.
While in law school, Annie was the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property. She interned with the City of Chicago Law Department in the Appeals Division, and worked with Northwestern’s Center for Wrongful Convictions. Prior to law school, Annie was the managing editor of Philadelphia magazine, and then the special projects coordinator at the National Constitution Center.

- Conducting internal investigations on behalf of global pharmaceutical and medical device companies relating to whistleblower reports alleging violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
- Part of trial team that secured a favorable verdict on behalf of the founder of one of the nation’s leading home health and hospice business in a lawsuit alleging breaches of non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements in Texas state court.
- Assisted regional hospital system in closing a criminal investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon into allegations of fraudulent billing practices.
- Advised federally qualified health center in joint civil investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and state attorney general focused on alleged violations of the federal and state False Claims Act.
- Assisted litigation team in securing a nationwide preliminary injunction against an executive order issued by the Trump administration that prohibited government contractors and grant recipients from “promoting” through workplace training ideas central to modern diversity training efforts.
