David E. Miller
David Miller is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s asset management practice, focusing on private equity funds, hedge funds, credit funds and other private funds, as well as their advisers. David assists private fund sponsors and management companies in connection with formation, fundraising, structuring, governance, operations, compliance and regulatory-related matters. David’s experience also includes advising fund managers on, and negotiating, various contractual arrangements, such as side letters with investors, service provider agreements and placement agent agreements.
During law school, David was a judicial intern to the Honorable James Knoll Gardner, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before and during law school, David served as an artillery officer in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He continues to serve in the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
