Alison McLaughlin re-joined Ropes & Gray in 2016 in the Liability Risk Management group after five years as in-house counsel handling complex liability coverage issues and related litigation. Alison’s practice focuses on director and officer litigation and comprehensive risk management for financial institutions, and public and private companies. Her work includes drafting and negotiating state-of-the-art liability insurance coverage (including D&O and private equity and hedge fund general partnership liability policies), assisting clients in securing and maximizing coverage for litigation and regulatory investigations, and advising on a wide range of risk management and insurance-related matters.
Alison’s liability risk management practice draws on her background litigating securities and insurance matters during her previous tenure in the Ropes & Gray litigation department, as well as her breadth of experience in the insurance industry with regard to liability coverage and management of complex claims.
