Ali R. Olia
Ali is an associate in the corporate department and a member of the firm’s asset management group. His practice focuses on representing registered investment companies, their independent directors/trustees and investment advisers in a variety of regulatory, transactional and compliance matters. Ali regularly advises clients on the creation, registration, operation and reorganization of open-end and closed-end funds. He also has experience preparing and reviewing disclosure in offering documents and shareholder communications and counseling closed-end funds on issues relating to activist shareholders.
During law school, Ali completed internships at the Investment Company Institute and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Prior to law school, he worked at a foreign policy think tank.
