Lillian T. Okamuro
Lillian T. Okamuro focuses her practice on antitrust litigation, government investigations, strategic counseling, and the competition aspects of regulatory matters. Ms. Okamuro has experience representing clients in all phases of merger and regulatory reviews conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Federal Trade Commission, and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Prior to joining Ropes & Gray LLP, Ms. Okamuro served as an associate at another international law firm and interned in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Notable transactions in which Lillian has been involved prior to joining the firm include:
- Obtained unconditional U.S. Department of Justice clearance for the world’s largest industrial equipment auctioneer’s acquisition of a competing marketplace for heavy equipment, following the issuance of a second request.
- Advised a leading U.S. airline through regulatory proceedings before the U.S. Department of Transportation in connection with applications for antitrust immunity regarding joint business agreements with international partners.
