Employment, executive compensation and employee benefits associate Caleb Penrod joined Ropes & Gray’s New York office in 2021. Caleb’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters.
During law school, Caleb was on the University of San Diego School of Law’s mock trial team. He also was an active student in the law school’s pro bono legal clinics, where he won a client a six-figure judgment as a second-year law student at the California Labor Commissioner’s Office. Caleb graduated from Georgetown Law on the Dean’s List and with Distinction, earning a Taxation LL.M. degree with a certificate in Employee Benefits. He also competed on Georgetown’s Moot Court team, where he made it to the semi-final round at the Ellen A. Hennessy Employee Benefits Moot Court Tournament.
Prior to law school, Caleb worked in Los Angeles at a major box retailer as an executive manager helping to oversee 100 plus employees and $60 million in annual sales. Caleb attended Johns Hopkins University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2012.
