Jenny Qi is an associate in Ropes & Gray's private equity transaction group and a registered foreign lawyer in the Hong Kong office. Jenny has extensive experience in private equity and M&A transactions, advising global and regional private equity firms and corporate clients in their cross-border transactions spanning various sectors including technology, health care/life sciences, industrials, consumer and real estate.
Experience
Notable transactions in which Jenny has been involved prior to joining the firm include:
- Advising a global private equity firm in a variety of acquisition and sale of control or minority interests in the real estate industry across Asia
- Advising Indospace in its partnership arrangements with GLP with respect to fund restructuring, sale of equity interests in the fund management vehicles and co-investment in IndoSpace’s managed investment vehicles
- Advising Shandong Ruyi Investment Holding in its acquisition of INVISTA’s Apparel & Advanced Textiles business, including the Lycra brand
- Advising a global investment bank and Hillhouse Capital in their respective minority investment in a China based dental business
- Advising Cathay Fortune Corporation in its public takeover offer for 100% equity interests in Epigenomics AG, a German listed pharmaceutical company and related consortium arrangements
- Advising CITIC Capital in its acquisition of minority interests in a real estate business from Vanke
- Advising Warburg Pincus in its acquisition of minority interests in Trax, a Singapore based information technology company
- Advising Tencent in its acquisition of minority interests in various businesses in Greater China
- Advising TPG in the sale of HCP Global Holdings Ltd., a global packaging company, to a private equity buyer
- Advising Boyu Capital in its sale of equity interests in a retail business
- Advising TPG as a member of an investor consortium in the going-private transaction of Chindex International
- Advising Temasek Holdings Private Limited as a member of an investor consortium in the going-private transaction of WuXi Pharma Tech (Cayman) Inc. and subsequent restructuring and re-listing in the PRC, Hong Kong and the US
