Brian R. Straughn

Brian R. Straughn is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s corporate department. Brian practices primarily in the firm’s private capital transactions group and represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and financings. 

During law school, Brian participated in an International Exchange Program in International and Comparative Business Law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. Brian also served as an Honors Program Intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, worked as an extern at a large, international asset manager and was a member of the Boston University Law Review.
