Danilo Santucci

Associate

Danilo Santucci is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s private client group. Danilo’s practice focuses on estate and tax planning for high net worth clients, both domestic and international. Danilo advises families, trustees, and their advisers on income tax and transfer tax issues, helping clients achieve their succession and investment goals in a tax-efficient manner. Danilo also guides clients through tax compliance programs, investments in insurance products, and sophisticated gifting strategies

Danilo has significant experience advising clients with multi-jurisdictional issues, having also worked in Luxembourg, as U.S. tax counsel for a global financial institution, and Switzerland, as an associate in the tax and wealth management groups of a global law firm. The in-bound side of Danilo’s international practice includes pre-immigration planning and advising cross-border families on a broad spectrum of issues related to their U.S. connections, such as U.S. investments or family members living in the United States. On the out-bound side, he works with U.S. investors to structure their foreign investments and helps U.S. clients abroad navigate through the complexities that arise from the interactions between multiple tax regimes.

Danilo holds an LL.M. in tax law, where he received the Gary I. Boren award for having attained the highest grade point average in his class.
