Joshua J. Spector

Associate

Joshua J. Spector is an associate in the firm’s private capital transactions group. He focuses his practice on representing private equity firms and strategic investors in mergers and acquisitions, minority investments and divestitures across a broad range of industries. Joshua also advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on general corporate governance matters.

Joshua maintains a robust and diverse pro bono practice representing prisoners of conscience before various international human rights commissions, assisting in the production of reports on voter rights in the United States and assisting small businesses in low-income communities navigate pandemic relief and other corporate legal concerns.

Joshua earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he was awarded the Silverman-Rodin Scholarship and was a senior editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. While at Penn Law, Joshua served as a legal intern for the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, a judicial intern for the Hon. James J. Fitzgerald, III of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and assisted local startups at the Penn Law Entrepreneurial Clinic. In addition, he earned a certificate in finance and management from The Wharton School in 2017.
