Josie Szypka is an associate at Ropes & Gray in the corporate department and a member of the asset management group. She advises registered investment companies and their independent trustees on regulatory, transactional, and compliance matters.

Josie advises clients on a variety of matters, including open-end and closed-end fund operating issues, regulatory filings, board matters, and advisory, sub-advisory and other service provider arrangements. She has experience drafting and advising on a variety of SEC filings for registered funds and their investment advisers. Josie also regularly counsels clients on matters concerning the formation, registration, reorganization, and operation of retail and institutional investment products that arise under U.S. federal securities laws.

During law school, Josie served as executive symposium editor for the Notre Dame Journal of International & Comparative Law. Josie also completed externships at the City of South Bend Legal Department and the University of Notre Dame Athletics Compliance Office.
