Kathleen Swanson
Associate
Kathleen Swanson is an associate practicing in Ropes & Gray's health care group. She advises a variety of health care and life sciences industry clients including hospitals and health systems, physician and dental groups, and industry investors on a range of regulatory, compliance, and transactional matters. Kathleen regularly advises clients on regulatory compliance with federal health care program reimbursement requirements, federal and state health privacy and security laws, and state licensure and professional practice requirements. Kathleen also maintains a strong pro bono practice including providing assistance to nonprofit physician groups and health advocacy organizations.
During law school, Kathleen was a notes and comments editor for the University of Maryland's Journal of Health Care Law and Policy and co-president of the Student Health Law Organization. Prior to joining the firm, she interned at the National Institutes of Health, the Legal Action Center, and the House of Commons of Canada.
