Director of Practice & Office Development
Margie Stebbins is a director of practice & office development. In this capacity, Margie works with partners across the firm's 11 offices to ensure regional strategies tie into the firm's five-year strategic plan. She also works one-on-one with partners and with client service teams to ensure the services the firm provides match those of each client’s short and long term business strategies.
Among other responsibilities, Margie works regularly with members of firm leadership to execute on various initiatives stemming from the firm's strategic plan. She also works with the head of the office managing partners committee to ensure global collaboration and cohesiveness across the firm's offices when it comes to client development, service and strategy.
In her role, Margie works regularly with her team to promote the firm within its regional markets recognizing that each market is different and a "one size fits all" approach is not the answer. Margie has significant experience developing panel programs with industry leaders that address hot topics and trends within that industry. She is also actively involved in identifying opportunities within local markets for collaboration with civic and community organizations that often include partnering with clients.
Previously, Margie held roles at Ropes & Gray in its practice development department, including supporting the life sciences, health care and colleges and universities practices. Margie started her career at Ropes & Gray as a corporate paralegal supporting the private equity transactions and real estate transactions practices.
