Sarah Samaha joined Ropes & Gray’s litigation and enforcement practice group in 2021. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, shareholder and corporate governance disputes, and government enforcement matters. Sarah works with a range of clients, including hedge funds, private equity firms, public companies, boards of directors, and executives. Sarah also maintains a robust pro bono practice, advising clients primarily on immigration issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Sarah clerked for the Honorable Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick in the Delaware Court of Chancery. During law school, Sarah served as the executive notes & comments editor for the Maryland Law Review. Sarah was also a member of the Moot Court Board; she won the American College of Trial Lawyers Best Oral Advocate award at the 69th Annual National Moot Court Competition regional championship in 2018 and went on to represent her law school at the national level. Sarah also served as a student attorney for her law school’s Small Business and Community Equity Development clinic, where she advised grassroots, community-based organizations, including community development corporations, on a range of governance and operational matters.
