Scott Taylor is a senior attorney in the firm’s intellectual property litigation group. Scott’s work in patent litigation has involved a wide range of technologies, including recombinant microorganisms, digital rights management, and computer software. He has worked on numerous cases for both intellectual property rights holders and accused infringers, and has experience preparing for and taking depositions, managing discovery, assessing patent infringement and validity, preparing expert reports, motion practice, and claim construction analysis.
Prior to practicing law, Scott worked as an intellectual property consultant in various technological fields including automotive systems, microlithography, and medical devices. Scott also interned for the Honorable Kathleen O’Malley, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
- Defended biofuel company in patent litigation case involving genetically engineered microorganisms.
- Represented various companies in patent litigation cases involving various computer-related technologies, including digital rights management, search engine technology, and human resource applications.
- Advised educational non-profit on copyright protection for STEM curriculum for middle school students.
