Kevin J. Willis

Probate and Trust Counsel

Kevin Willis, probate and trust counsel in the private client group, joined Ropes & Gray in 1995. He has advised high-net-worth clients and their families for nearly 25 years, creating sophisticated estate plans, settling estates and trusts, advising fiduciaries concerning their responsibilities, advising beneficiaries of their rights in the trust and estate settlement process, and working with both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in connection with fiduciary litigation matters. Clients value Kevin’s sound judgment and tactful guidance, especially during what may be particularly difficult personal circumstances for them. Kevin has extensive experience navigating the probate process, and securing the appointments of personal representatives, trustees, guardians and conservators. He received special recognition for his work involving the Lawyer for the Day pro bono program in Suffolk Probate and Family Court, where he has volunteered regularly since 2003.
