Relevant Laws
- Anti-Corruption Law and Decree 59/2019:The new Vietnamese Anti-Corruption Law and implementing Decree, which went into effect July 1, 2019, criminalize public and private sector corruption, including bribery of state or public officials, commercial bribery, and bribery of foreign public officials or officials of public international organizations. These laws also prohibit receiving, inducing, intermediating, or facilitating bribes.
- Prevention of Money Laundering: The Vietnamese Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering prohibits the laundering of money or assets obtained through commission of a crime.
