Ropes & Gray has occupied a prominent position in the Boston legal marketplace since the firm’s founding in 1865.  Originally headquartered at Barristers’ Hall (near the present location of Old City Hall), Ropes & Gray has been housed in many noteworthy buildings throughout Boston, including various locations on State Street, 50 Federal Street, 225 Franklin Street and One International Place.  In 2010, the firm’s Boston office moved to its present location, the Prudential Tower, an iconic Boston landmark since its opening in 1964.
