Ropes & Gray and G&A Institute have published a joint study on cross-function collaboration in today's changing sustainability landscape.

The report, titled Side by Side: Sustainability and Legal – A Look Inside Two Corporate Functions Navigating Complexity & Uncertainty Together, discusses the findings of a study by Ropes & Gray and Governance & Accountability Institute that examines collaboration between in-house legal and sustainability professionals at US-based companies. Researchers surveyed and interviewed sustainability and legal professionals from leading US companies across a range of industries.

Legal and sustainability professionals are working together more than ever. Over the last few years, in-house legal teams have become substantially more involved with sustainability matters. The role of sustainability professionals also has evolved significantly. The joint report looks at how those collaborations are going.
