Ropes & Gray – in conjunction with law firms across Europe – has published a new update of its monthly CSRD Transposition Tracker. The Tracker update is available here.
The Tracker describes Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive transposition – including transposition of the Omnibus directive – across the 27 EU member states and three EEA EFTA countries. This update includes information and developments as of the end of August, and for some countries into September, as well as additional commentary from the participating law firms.
Countries are required to transpose the Omnibus I “contents” directive into national law by March 19, 2027. As reflected in this Tracker update, several member states have made progress on and even completed Omnibus transposition. However, transposition is still ongoing in most member states and still in the early stages in several. As expected, progress was slow in August.
However, one uncertainty has been taken off the table. The scrutiny period on the Delegated Regulation amending the European Sustainability Reporting Standards ended without a thumbs down from the Council or Parliament. The Delegated Regulation was thereafter published in the EU Official Journal on September 21 and enters into force on November 10.
