Litigation and Enforcement Mid-level Associate

The Litigation and Enforcement practice group at Ropes & Gray is currently seeking a mid-level associate with native or fluent-level Spanish and/or Portuguese language capabilities to join the practice group in our Boston, New York, Chicago, London, San Francisco or Washington, D.C. office. Candidates should have three to five years of experience in internal and government investigations, anti-corruption and international risk matters, matters involving white-collar, money laundering, fraud, risk assessment and regulatory work, and/or complex commercial litigation matters. Experience with global anti-bribery laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (FCPA), UK Bribery Act, trade sanctions, export control, anti-money laundering, and private equity or sovereign investor transactions is strongly preferred.

Candidates should be highly capable of managing a broad range of internal and external investigation tasks, including conducting interviews, interfacing with clients, advising on strategy and managing associate teams. International travel is expected. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese, is required for this position. Labor and Employment Department

The Labor and Employment Department is seeking associates with at least two years of experience to join our group in a partnership-track position in either our Boston, Chicago, New York, or San Francisco offices. Attorneys in this role will work on the labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions and draft and negotiate purchase agreements, employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, retention agreements, separation agreements, and other agreements in corporate deals. In addition, this attorney may spend a portion of his or her time on advice and counseling, executive compensation matters, employment litigation, and training. Applicants must have excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. Superlative academic and large law firm experience is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience. Private Equity Transactions Group

The Private Equity Transactions Group of the Corporate Department is seeking highly-qualified experienced associates for our Boston, Chicago, New York and San Francisco offices. Candidates who will be considered for these positions will have 3 – 5 years of experience at a large law firm and solid experience advising private equity funds and their portfolio companies with respect to sophisticated public or private acquisitions, growth investments and other similar transactions, as well as general corporate matters, including governance and securities law compliance matters. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and strong analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
