Private Equity Transactions Group

The Private Equity Transactions Group of the Corporate Department is seeking an experienced mid-level associate for our Chicago office. Associates in this role will be expected to advise private equity funds and their portfolio companies with respect to sophisticated public or private acquisitions, growth investments as well as general corporate matters, including governance and securities law compliance matters. Associate will have the opportunity to work both within teams and manage varies parts of transactions independently. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 4 years, maximum of 6 years, of legal experience in corporate transactions work representing private equity companies. Candidates will be expected to have strong skills with drafting and negotiating transaction documents, excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to effectively manage client relationships and have the ability to manage priorities seamlessly in, at times, a fast paced and deadline driven environment. Excellent academic credentials and admission to the Illinois state bar, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly, will also be required.
