Corporate Department: Privacy and Cybersecurity Group

The Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group of Ropes & Gray LLP is seeking a senior associate or counsel attorney in our New York office.  The firm is seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting client matters related to privacy, information security, intellectual property transactions and consumer protection. The successful candidate will have experience with technology transactions as well as have served in an advisory role to clients across industries. International experience with GDPR interpretation and application is also relevant, as is experience with cloud providers. Attorneys in this role will work with financial services, health care, life sciences, asset managers, and technology companies, among others, to ensure their privacy and cybersecurity needs are addressed and issues are solved. The candidate will also play a key role in managing and developing junior associates, through managing substantive work as well as training and recruiting efforts.

As a member of our Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group, the successful candidate will practice alongside some of the most recognized attorneys in the profession. Applicants must have excellent attention to detail, demonstrated leadership ability, strong project and client management skills, and be team-oriented.  Experience with project management is a plus.  Prior law firm experience is preferred.  Ropes & Gray LLP is an equal opportunity employer.

Corporate Department: Securities & Public Companies Group

The Securities & Public Companies Group of the Corporate Department are seeking a Boston or New York based junior to mid-level associate. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in capital markets, corporate governance, and strategic mergers & acquisitions. In particular, candidates should have experience representing corporate issuers and major investment banks in all aspects of equity capital markets financings, mergers and acquisitions and advice to clients on compliance & corporate governance issues. Corporate Department: Finance Group

The Finance Group of the Corporate Department is seeking a New York based mid to senior level associate  (2 to 7 years of related experience) associate with sophisticated experience in leveraged financing transactions. Candidates must have solid experience representing private equity firms or banks providing financing to private equity firms in debt financing transactions. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of credit agreements, high yield bond indentures, bridge facilities, commitment letters and term sheets, security and guarantee agreements and intercreditor and subordination agreements. The Private Investment Funds group is seeking mid-level associates in our New York and Boston offices.  The ideal, well-experienced candidates will have 4 to 5 years of closed-end fund formation experience.  Preferred candidates will have a strong knowledge of applicable U.S. securities laws and the Investment Advisers Act, as well as familiarity with U.S. tax, ERISA and other regulations that impact private funds.

The Benefits Group of the Tax & Benefits Department is seeking experienced associates (2-6 years of experience at a top-tier peer firm) to handle employee benefits and executive compensation matters.   Ideal candidates would have sophisticated knowledge of M&A-related transactional benefits work, executive compensation, and traditional employee benefits experience, including retirement and health and welfare plans.
