Life Sciences - Regulatory

 The Ropes & Gray Shanghai office is seeking an international associate or junior associate to join its growing and vibrant life sciences regulatory practice in Shanghai.  International Associate candidates must have passed the PRC bar and have at least 4 years’ experience practicing regulatory law (ideally drug and device-related) in China.  Ideal candidates will be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a U.S. LL.M program with the intention of sitting for or already a member of a U.S. bar.  International Associates have potential for promotion to first-year partnership track positions upon successful completion of performance benchmarks.

Junior Associate candidates must have a U.S. JD and admitted to a US Bar.  All international associate and junior associate candidates must be fluent in both Mandarin and English.  Completion of coursework in biochemistry and bioengineering is also preferred.

Intellectual Property Transactions

The Ropes & Gray Shanghai office is seeking one senior associate (ideally 5th or 6th year) and one mid-level associate (ideally 4th year) to join its Life Sciences transactional practice. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of corporate transactional experience in the life sciences industry, including M&A and capital markets experience. Candidates must be admitted to a U.S. bar and fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Litigation & Enforcement Group

The Litigation & Enforcement practice group is seeking a highly qualified associate to be based in Hong Kong or Shanghai. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years’ sophisticated experience in all aspects of white-collar and other internal investigations and/or Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance, as well as complex commercial litigation, health care, and/or SEC enforcement matters.  Candidates should also be highly capable of managing cases and teams of associates, commensurate with experience level.
