Webinar: “Meaningful Use” of EHR Technology: What Do the New Standards and Certification Criteria Mean for Your Organization?

On December 30, 2009, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Improvement Technology released two long awaited regulations (one is proposed while the other will take effect on publication) regarding federal incentives for adoption of electronic health record (EHR) technology. The regulations are designed to implement the EHR incentive programs enacted under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act), programs which include incentive payments to hospitals, physicians, and other providers that adopt and become meaningful users of EHR technology.
 
In this one hour webinar, Ropes & Gray partner Michael Beauvais will examine the proposed regulations and their effects on hospitals, physician groups, and other providers, as well as companies that develop EHR technology or invest in such companies. Specific areas to be discussed include:
