Ropes & Gray is a proud sponsor of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area's 36th Annual Installation Dinner. The event's keynote speaker was Neal Katyal, who previously served as the Acting Solicitor General of the United States from 2010-2011, and the first Asian American in that position. His advocacy in some of the most important cases of the past few years, including Bush v. Gore, Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, Grutter v. Bollinger, and the litigation relating to the Affordable Care Act, exemplifies AABA's mission and commitment to protecting the rights of minorities, the underserved, and the most vulnerable. The AABA was founded in 1976 to provide Asian American attorneys in the San Francisco Bay Area with a vehicle for the unified expression of opinions and positions on matters of concern to all Asian Pacific Americans (APA).
