On Oct. 7, Ropes & Gray investment management partners Paul Dykstra and Paulita Pike, hedge funds partner Debbie Monson, and private investment funds partner Matt Posthuma host a CLE seminar, in association with Chambers & Partners, on Hot Topics in Asset Management, from 3:00-6:30 PM CT in the Chicago office of Ropes & Gray, located at 191 North Wacker Drive. Registration will start at 2:15 PM CT.
The seminar will begin with a presentation from investment management counsel and former Investment Advisers Association president David Tittsworth titled “Regulatory Update from Washington, D.C. for Asset Management Firms.” It will be followed by two moderated panel presentations, titled “Cybersecurity and Litigation Landscapes” and “Regulatory Scrutiny and Trends in Private Fund Terms,” featuring the four partners and Charles McCain, Chief Compliance Officer for Harbor Capital Advisors, Steven Farmer, Chief Compliance Officer for 50 South Capital Advisors, Northern Trust, and Mary Keefe, Managing Director and Director of Regulatory Affairs for Nuveen Investments.
This event will offer CLE credit, is free to attend and only open to in-house counsel and other practitioners in in-house roles. The seminar concludes with a networking cocktail reception at 5:45 PM CT.
