Intellectual property transactions partner Edward Kelly and counsel Regina Sam Penti (both of Boston) spoke on a panel at the Managing Intellectual Property European Patent Reform Forum 2017 in Paris on Sept. 7.
Mr. Kelly moderated a panel that included Ms. Penti and Integrated Device Technology legal director of intellectual property, licensing and M&A Bruce Elder. The panel addressed the interplay between the U.S. and European patent systems, the potential impact of the introduction of the Unified Patent Court, and coordination of European Union and U.S. patent strategies. The panelists also discussed the key differences between U.S. inter partes reviews and revocation actions in Europe.
