Washington, D.C. life sciences partner Kellie Combs moderated a panel on “Scientific Exchange and the First Amendment” at the Food and Drug Law Institute Advertising and Promotion Conference for the Drug, Medical Device and Veterinary Industries in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 27.
The panel included Kelly Goldberg, PhRMA vice president, law & senior counsel for biopharmaceutical regulation; Elizabeth Jungman, The Pew Charitable Trusts director, public health; and Coleen Klasmeier, a partner at Sidely Austin LLP. The speakers addressed topics that included key court cases, recent FDA actions—including draft guidance and the “Intended Use” rule—and legislative activity.
