Health Care and Life Sciences Partners Lead Telehealth Webinar

Health care partner Michael Lampert (Boston) and life sciences partner Katherine Wang (Shanghai) led the discussion for a webinar hosted by Ropes & Gray on Jan. 9, 2018. Titled “Telehealth in the U.S. and Abroad,” the session explored telehealth services and arrangements as they affect both U.S.-based providers and global physical care settings.

Mr. Lampert and Ms. Wang began by discussing issues concerning the U.S. market, such as revenue diversification, outreach and patient recruitment. As the discussion expanded to the global market, the speakers touched on licensure and data privacy requirements for cross-border transfers, with a specific focus on changes in China’s telehealth regulations pre- and post-2014.
