Hedge funds partner Laurel FitzPatrick and private investment funds partner Amanda Persaud (both New York) will moderate panels at the International Bar Association’s 19th Annual International Conference on Private Investment Funds, to be held March 11-13 in London. Amanda will moderate “Passing the Torch: Governance and Economic Arrangements of a New Generation of Professionals at Alternative Asset Managers” on March 12. This workshop explores successful styles of governance and management styles adopted by sponsors of private investment funds, and will highlight some best practices when sponsors are owned by founders and non-founders. On March 13, Laurel will moderate “Current Trends in Litigation and Regulatory Actions Involving Private Investment Funds.” The panel will focus on recent regulatory and enforcement initiatives aimed at managers and the funds they advise, and associated litigation.
