Health care partners Mark Barnes and David Peloquin (both of Boston) will present at The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research at Northwell Health virtual conference “Driving Responsible Conduct of Research During a Pandemic” on April 15.
David and Mark will present a keynote address on “Navigating the Pandemic Research Landscape, Legal and Regulatory Perspectives.”
The conference will identify the risks and challenges of conducting high quality ethical human subject research during a pandemic or other health care emergency and establish clear research integrity guidelines and best practices that can be used to manage them.
Other conference speakers include Michael Lauer, MD, deputy director for Extramural Research, National Institutes of Health; Arturo Casadevall, MD, PhD, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor and Chair, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Johns Hopkins University; and Steven Shafer, MD, chair, Department of Anesthesia, Stanford University and member, Board of Directors, The Center for Scientific Integrity.
