On May 23, Ropes & Gray asset management partners Jeremy Liabo and Nicole Krea spoke at the MFA Legal & Compliance 2022 conference at The Plaza in New York City.
Jeremy moderated the keynote fireside chat with Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Rostin Behnam. The conversation touched on many hot topics for the asset management industry, including CFTC regulation of digital assets, oversight of the voluntary carbon markets and non-intermediated clearing of cryptocurrency futures.
Nicole served on a panel titled “Marketing Rule: Countdown to Compliance,” which discussed preparing for the November 2022 compliance deadline and adapting to the new marketing rule and framework. The panel was moderated by Isaac Haas (General Counsel, HBK Capital Management) and featured Kenneth Geller (Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel, Two Sigma Investments), Rachel Grand (Senior Vice President and Counsel, The D.E. Shaw Group) and Harry Greenbaum (Deputy General Counsel, Citadel).
