IP litigation partner Matt Rizzolo and IP litigation associate Jolene Wang will present at the IPWatchdog LIVE 2024 conference in Arlington, Virginia on September 30 and October 1.
Matt will speak on the panel entitled “Navigating 337 Investigations: Pathways to Success at the ITC.” The U.S. International Trade Commission’s authority under Section 337 of the Tariff Act includes conducting unfair import investigations. In addition to discussing strategic considerations and pathways to success at the ITC, the panel will discuss topics including the use of the ITC as a piece of an overall enforcement strategy; the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court’s overruling of Chevron doctrine for the ITC; standard-essential patents at the ITC; and how ITC reform could change pathways to success.
Jolene will present on the panel titled “Trade Secrets: A Balancing Act of Protection and Pitfalls.” She will discuss trade secret best practices including identifying valuable information that should be protected, steps to properly protect information, and whether to pursue patent protection.
