Jamie Darch, Christine Moundas and Brett Friedman to Present at ACI’s Inaugural Healthcare AI Summit

Event
February 26 - 27, 2026

Three health care partners will present at the American Conference Institute’s Inaugural Healthcare AI Summit in New York City on February 26—27. The summit will examine legal, regulatory and compliance considerations for AI-enabled devices and medical tools.

Jamie Darch will present on the panel “Data Privacy and AI MedTech and Digital Tools: Complying with HIPAA and Navigating the Patchwork of State Privacy Laws.” The use of AI devices and technology for patient care has given rise to concerns about how protected health information is being used. The panelists will provide insights on how to remain HIPAA compliant and adhere to new and evolving state regulations that seek to keep pace with innovation and reinforce patient protections.

Christine Moundas, co-head of the firm's digital health initiative, will speak on the panel “From Design to Deployment: Cybersecurity Best Practices for Healthcare AI.” The presenters will examine the scope of AI cybersecurity responsibility for various stakeholders and strategies for exposing hidden vulnerabilities. Panelists will provide insights on how to develop a cybersecurity and compliance plan that encompasses the full lifecycle of a device from design through to decommissioning.

Brett Friedman will present on the panel “Examining Payor-Provider Risks and Opportunities—From Coding and Care Management to Documentation and Prior Authorization.” Administrative claim processing speed and care management insights can be beneficial for health care payors, providers and patients. Without AI model accuracy and oversight transparency, these tools present risks. The panelists will discuss AI opportunities and risks associated with medical coding and claims processing and how to mitigate them.
