Boston-based tax & benefits partner David Raish co-chaired an ALI-ABA program titled “Retirement, Deferred Compensation, and Welfare Plans of Tax-Exempt and Governmental Employers” in Washington D.C. on September 13 and 14.
Raish, along with 13 government officials, including tax and benefits counsel from the U.S. Department of Treasury, the IRS, the U.S. Department of Labor, and the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, spoke about the recent developments affecting tax-favored retirement plans (IRC §§401, 403(a), 403(b), and eligible §457 plans), nonqualified plans (IRC §§83, 409A, and 457(f)), and welfare plans.
