Ropes & Gray represented China Zenix Auto International on its initial public offering. Shares of the company, China's largest commercial vehicle wheel manufacturer, began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on May 11. China Zenix, with five manufacturing facilities and 5,000 employees across China, supplies large commercial vehicle manufacturers in China and in 30 countries around the world.
Morgan Stanley was the lead underwriter for the IPO.
The IPO is the latest in a series of high-profile matters Ropes & Gray has advised on from Hong Kong. In April, the firm's lawyers represented TPG Capital in the US$200 million IPO of its portfolio company China NT Pharma, and Taiwan's Quanta Computer in its joint venture with the 3M Company of the United States.
