Securities litigation practice leader Randy Bodner and partner John Donovan recently spoke on panels at the 17th Directors’ College at Stanford Law School. The June 19-21 event is an annual executive education program for directors and senior executives of publicly traded firms and is considered to be one of the top such programs in the country.
Bodner and Donovan each spoke on panels on “Special Investigations and Insider Trading,” which examined how companies, in conjunction with outside counsel, can best conduct internal investigations and navigate the shoals of investigations by government enforcement agencies. Other topics addressed at the event included: lessons on crisis control; indemnification and D&O insurance; FCPA concerns; and emerging trends in litigation strategy.
