A cross-practice group of Ropes & Gray attorneys represented DST Systems Inc. in its $250 million acquisition of ALPS Holdings Inc. from private equity firm Lovell Minnick Partners in a deal that closed Oct. 31.
DST Systems provides information processing solutions and services to the global asset management, insurance, retirement, brokerage and health care industries. ALPS, headquartered in Denver with offices in Boston, New York and Seattle, provides asset servicing and asset gathering solutions to the asset management industry.
The Ropes & Gray team that worked on the deal was led by Boston-based investment management partner Brian McCabe, Boston-based labor & employment associate Megan Bisk, New York-based IP transactions counsel Thomas Burke, Boston-based tax partner Eric Elfman, Boston-based tax associate Pam Glazier and Boston-based life sciences associate Aaron Schohn.
