Litigation partner Rob Skinner (Boston) is quoted in an Ignites article titled “Axa to Judge: Our Fees Are Justified; Here’s Why” and published on Jan. 29. The article reports on developments in a suit alleging that Axa Equitable’s affiliated investment advisor and administrator charged excessive fees in connection with running subadvised mutual funds. Noting that the case has reached the summary judgment phase, Mr. Skinner highlights that “Now it is time for the plaintiff to come up with actual evidence supporting its claims in the complaint that the advisor does essentially nothing in exchange for the fees it retains.”
