Ropes & Gray advised U.S. Anesthesia Partners, Inc. (USAP), the United States’ largest anesthesia-focused, single-specialty physician services organization, in connection with its partnership with South Denver Anesthesiologists, P.C. (SDA). The partnership was announced Jan. 4.
SDA and existing USAP partner, Greater Colorado Anesthesia (GCA), will form a combined practice of over 230 anesthesia providers serving more than 35 facilities across the Denver metropolitan area. Ropes & Gray represented USAP in its deal with GCA announced in February 2015.
USAP, which is sponsored by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, is dedicated to providing high-quality anesthesia and pain management services. It partners with leading physician groups and provides the capital resources, infrastructure and business expertise needed to position them for continued growth and success in their markets. Since its formation in 2012, USAP has grown to nearly 2,000 anesthesia providers.
The Ropes & Gray team (all of New York unless otherwise stated) advising USAP on the SDA deal included tax partner Leo Arnaboldi; executive compensation & employee benefits partner Alexandra Alperovich and finance senior attorney Amy Olson.
