On Tuesday, May 10, hedge funds partner Joel Wattenbarger (New York) will speak at the Managed Funds Association’s (MFA) 2016 Compliance Conference, to be held at the Metropolitan Club in New York.
Mr. Wattenbarger will speak on the panel titled “SEC and NFA Exams: What To Expect.” Other panelists include Jennifer A. Duggins, Senior Specialized Examiner and Co-Head of Private Funds Unit, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dan Roth, President and CEO, National Futures Association, and Eileen T. Flaherty, Director, Division of Swap Dealer and Intermediary Oversight, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
This one day conference will focus on comprehensive advice around the implementation of and compliance with regulatory reforms affecting impacting hedge funds and their investors and will provide practical advice on the most current regulatory compliance issues. Other panels at the conference will review operational due diligence and compliance, international compliance challenges and opportunities for fund managers, SEC initiatives, enforcement priorities, and cybersecurity.
