January 9, 2017

The Institute for the Fiduciary Standard has named Robert Shapiro, Chief Executive Officer of Ropes Wealth Advisors, to the Institute’s Chairman’s Council. The Institute is a nonprofit formed in 2011 to advance fiduciary duties in financial advice through research, education and advocacy. The Chairman’s Council was created to advise on and advocate for the Institute’s best practices, and is comprised of leading independent advisory firms, which manage or advise on $27.9 billion in client assets.

“I am delighted and honored to be serving on the Chairman’s Council, on behalf of Ropes Wealth Advisors,” observes Mr. Shapiro. “Our philosophy and practices align with the focus of the Institute on striving to provide truly objective advice to clients. This is a natural affiliation, as Ropes Wealth reflects and continues a long tradition of fiduciary service.”
