Securities and governance practice chair Keith Higgins authored an article titled “Is It Time to Retire Form S-8?” published by Insights: The Corporate & Securities Law Advisor in its September 2017 issue and republished by the Columbia University Law School “Blue Sky Blog” on Oct. 13.
The article examines whether an alternative to Form S-8, used by publicly traded companies to register securities that will be offered under employee benefit plans, could cut S-8 compliance burdens, while still providing investor protections.
