An article titled ”SEC Is Back at Full Strength With Five Members,” published by The Wall Street Journal on Sept. 5 reports that the Senate has confirmed Elad Roisman as an SEC Commissioner following the departure of Michael Piwowar in July. The appointment gives the regulator a fifth and final top official. When Mr. Roisman is sworn in, “Chairman Clayton will … have another Republican commissioner whose vote will be critical on controversial matters,” investment management counsel David Tittsworth states in the piece.
