In a Jan. 14 Law360 article, a cross-office team of health care attorneys examined the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services overhaul of the Medicare shared savings program for accountable care organizations. The key changes involve provisions for new beneficiary incentives, coverage for telehealth services and choice of beneficiary assignment methodology. The CMS final rules provide greater flexibility for ACOs.
The article was co-authored by health care partner Michael Lampert and health care associate Cara Dermody (both of Boston).
