Ropes & Gray represented Audax Private Equity in the sale of Imperial Dade, a distributor of disposable food service and janitorial supplies in the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, to Bain Capital Private Equity. Audax Private Equity, Imperial Dade’s investment partner since 2016, will retain a stake in the company. The transaction, announced on May 1, is expected to close during the second quarter of 2019 subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Imperial Dade, founded in 1935, serves more than 40,000 customers through a footprint of 27 branches operating in 13 states, and has a growing a network of strategically located distribution centers.
