Health care partner Stephen Warnke (New York) was interviewed by independent nonprofit organization FAIR Health in its April 2020 newsletter. Stephen recently stepped down after serving 10 years as the founding chair of the board of directors of FAIR Health, which manages the largest database of privately billed health insurance claims in the United States and has helped shape policy, statutes and research. Stephen will remain a member of FAIR Health’s board for one more year; in his interview, he reflected on the organization’s evolution, describing FAIR Health’s vast database of real-time, constantly replenishing claims data contributed daily by health insurers as an invaluable “engine”: “that engine will serve us all well as we weather the COVID-19 storm and emerge, I hope, to a better world.”
